Rhyno’s professional career began when he was signed by Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in 1999 under the ring name Rhino. He would remain with ECW until the promotion closed in 2001, during which time he won the ECW World Heavyweight Championship and the ECW Television Championship, becoming the final champion of both titles.
